WE ENGAGE ALL AUDIENCES ACROSS BUSINESS AND BRAND COMMUNICATIONS, OUR HERITAGE HOWEVER IS FROM A TIME WHEN MANY OF TODAY'S LABELS SIMPLY DIDN'T EXIST.
It was 1987 when in collaboration with the late Dame Anita Roddick of The Body Shop, we were established as Jacaranda Productions. We led the way in producing programmes that engaged audiences with CSR communications before the term was even coined and with ethical communications before it became fashionable. It wasn't long before we attracted plaudits and our 'Stop the War' film for The Body Shop in 1990 won a Special Merit at the EarthPeace International Film Festival for a creative contribution to world peace. Our reputation quickly grew along with the breadth of subject matter that our films covered, whether brand focused, engaging with consumers, training and motivating employees, updating investors, showcasing community issues or outlining sustainability strategy.
In 1995 Katy Eyre, Jacaranda’s Managing Director, led a management buy-out, creating independence from The Body Shop whilst maintaining ongoing working relations. We also became one of the founding members of the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA), the forerunner of EVCOM, and over the years, won many of its awards including the Grand Prix as well as a plethora of other international creative awards.
Our infectious passion attracted commissions from world class organisations such as BP, Rio Tinto, HSBC, BG Group, The Food Standards Agency, JCB, Barclays, Harrods, BG Group, Vedanta, Ministry of Defence, asos, Standard Chartered, BBC Worldwide, SAB Miller, Bayer, Petrofac, Glencore, Panalpina and Samsung. Industry endorsement of our work has resulted in over 250 international creative awards.
In 2014, after almost 30 years as one of the industry’s most successful corporate production companies, Jacaranda was acquired by Communisis plc as a key part of its new consumer engagement agency group, PSONA, which offers multi-platform creative content. Jacaranda changed its name to PSONA Films as part of its repositioning at the cutting edge of today’s rapidly evolving market for digital communications.
Today our passion for creating content across all brand and business communications is as enduring as ever along with the ability to engage all audiences, whether internal, external, local or global. Despite the shift from ‘one screen’ to ‘which screen?’ clients still find the way we add value vital. From the outset, our content is geared towards multiple repurposing as well as the constantly evolving viewing habits of online audiences today.
